Seventh Training on Preventing Radicalization and Extremism Leading to Terrorism - Nigeria
Cairo, Egypt – CCCPA conducted its seventh training on Preventing Radicalization and Extremism Leading to Terrorism (PRELT) in Africa, from 25–29 April. This training comes as part of the current UNDP project funded by the Government of Japan, “Consolidating Peace, Security and Stability in Africa  III - 2017-2018”.   The training is the first of its kind in Africa to approach the prevention of radicalization as a community-based activity, using traditional and Islamic inclusive narratives. Pre-Deployment Training for Egyptian Peacekeepers Joining MINUSCA
Cairo, Egypt - CCCPA conducted another pre-deployment training (PDT) course for Egyptian peacekeeping forces who will be joining the United Nations Multidimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission in Central African Republic (MINUSCA). 155 peacekeepers attended the training which took place from 15-19 April 2018.   The curriculum is based on UN Peacekeeping PDT Standards and covers topics such as UN peacekeeping operation principles; protection of civilians, the nature of conflict in the respective country; international humanitarian law and human rights; the role of gender and women ...more
Fourth Phase of Cooperation between CCCPA, Government of Japan and UNDP
Cairo, Egypt – CCCPA, the Government of Japan and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) launched a fourth phase of cooperation in support of peace and security in Africa on April 24, 2018. The project signing ceremony was hosted by the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. H.E. CCCPA Launches New Training Program on Gender-Sensitive Media Coverage in Conflict Situations
Cairo, Egypt – The first training course on “Gender-Sensitive Media Coverage in Conflict Situations” was held from 15-18 April 2018.  The training, organized in collaboration with UN Women, brought together 26 media professionals covering conflict areas from the Arab World.
