Training Courses and Capacity Building
Peacekeeping
CCCPA offers integrated training programs targeting the three components of peace support operations: civilian, military and police.

Strategic Level Courses include:
  • Senior Mission Leaders Training (SML)
  • CCCPA hosted the United Nations SML in 2015
    CCCPA hosted the African Union SML twice, in 2009 and 2014.
     
Operational Level Courses include:
  • Mapping Exercise Training (classroom-based for NARC officers, in cooperation with the Egyptian Armed Forces).
     
  • Command Post Training (classroom-based for NARC officers, in cooperation with the Egyptian Armed Forces).
     
  • Planning of Field Training (classroom-based for NARC officers, in cooperation with the Egyptian Armed Forces).

Tactical Level Courses include:

  • Pre-Deployment Training (PDT)
    CCCPA conducts PDT for units earmarked for peacekeeping missions. Working in coordination with the Egyptian Armed Forces, CCCPA tailors PDT courses to the specific mission and its mandate. PDT courses prepare peacekeepers to deal with the local context in which they operate, and improve their ability to communicate effectively and develop their capacity to analyze conflicts and carry out negotiation during PSO.
     
  • Disarmament, Demobilization and Reintegration (DDR)
    DDR is an essential component of contemporary peace support operations following peace agreements. CCCPA trains peacekeepers for potential roles in DDR.
     
  • Protection of Civilians
    CCCPA prepares peacekeepers to carry out their responsibilities to protect civilians as a function of international humanitarian and human rights law, such as the Geneva Convention.
     
  • Mainstreaming Gender in Peace Operations
    CCCPA provides training course for peacekeeping missions on streamlining gender in peace operations, in accordance with UN Security Council Resolution 1325 on Women, Peace and Security.
     
  • Peacekeeping in Islamic Sharia.

Basic Training
Fundamental courses are offered in each thematic area covered by CCCPA to junior level professionals of various backgrounds. They provide the participant with basic knowledge and guidelines, exercises, case studies and basic tools to allow them to carry out their respective daily functions.
Advanced Training
Advanced courses are offered in each thematic area covered by CCCPA to middle and senior level professionals of various backgrounds. The courses aim at addressing more specific topics in more detail to enhance the skills needed by professionals to help them in their daily work.
Training of Trainers (ToT)
The Training of Trainers (ToT) is designed for professionals with subject matter experience, with or without previous experience in training delivery. The goal of the training is to give new trainers interactive training techniques, background knowledge, skills and practical experience required to conduct a training program in a specific area to a specific audience or target group.
