Egypt Announces the Development of its First National Action Plan on the Implementation of the Women, Peace and Security Agenda
Cairo, Egypt - Egypt’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs has officially announced the country’s development of its first National Action Plan (NAP) on the implementation of the Women, Peace and Security agenda. The announcement followed Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry’s meeting with Dr. Maya Morsi, President of the National Council for Women (NCW), on 21 May 2019, where they agreed on assigning CCCPA with the responsibility of drafting the plan with NCW, in cooperation with relevant State institutions. The Cairo Center Assumes the Secretariat of the Aswan Forum for Sustainable Peace and Development

CCCPA, the Government of Switzerland and UNDP Launch New Cooperation
Cairo, Egypt – CCCPA hosted the signing ceremony of the cooperation agreement with the Government of Switzerland and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) on “Enhancing Peace, Security and Stability in Africa”.    The ceremony was attended by H.E. Paul Garnier, Ambassador of Switzerland to Egypt; Ms. Randa Aboul-Hosn, UNDP Resident Representative; and CCCPA Director General Ashraf Swelam. CCCPA to Develop Egypt’s First National Action Plan on Women, Peace and Security
Cairo, Egypt - In continuation of Egypt’s strong commitment to the implementation of the Women, Peace and Security (WPS) agenda, the country’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations in New York announced the decision of the Government of Egypt to develop the country’s first national action plan (NAP) on the implementation of UNSCR 1325 and subsequent resolutions.
