Training on Combating Human Trafficking and Smuggling of Migrants
Cairo, Egypt – The scale and complexity of the current crisis of forced migration, refugee flows, internal displacement and human trafficking is unprecedented. Conflicts, state collapse, protracted instability, and the erosion of the rule of law present traffickers and smugglers with opportunities to illegally profit. Training on Facing the Media for Junior Egyptian Diplomats
Cairo, Egypt – CCCPA, in cooperation with the Egyptian Institute for Diplomatic Studies, organized a training course for junior Egyptian diplomats on “Facing the Media”, from 18-20 June 2019. The training aimed to enhance the skills of 13 junior Egyptian diplomats on effectively facing the media when conducting TV interviews and press conferences. CCCPA and OROLSI Launch a Cooperation Framework
Cairo, Egypt – CCCPA hosted the signing ceremony of a cooperation framework with the United Nations Office of Rule of Law and Security Institutions (OROLSI) on 18 June 2019. The cooperation framework will enhance CCCPA-OROLSI cooperation in the areas of preventing radicalization and extremism leading to terrorism (PRELT) and disarmament, demobilization and reintegration (DDR). CCCPA Participates in the Annual Meeting of the Challenges Forum
Montreal, Canada – CCCPA participated in the annual meeting of the Challenges Forum from 9-12 June 2019. The meeting was organized by the Government of Canada and the International Secretariat of the Challenges Forum, under the theme “Action for Peacekeeping: Improving on Political Strategy, Peacebuilding, Mission Management and Transitioning to Enduring Peace”.  The meeting built on the recommendations of the previous annual meeting held in Stockholm, and focused on the implementation of the UN Secretary-General’s ‘Action for Peacekeeping’ (A4P) ...more
