CCCPA Participates in the Review of Integrated DDR Standards
Stockholm, Sweden - For thirty years, disarmament, demobilization and reintegration (DDR) has been an important tool in preventing the relapse to conflict and paving a pathway for conflict-ridden societies to consolidate their hardly won peace gains. Training on Facing the Media for Egyptian Diplomats
Cairo, Egypt – CCCPA in cooperation with the Egyptian Institute for Diplomatic Studies, organized its third training course for Egyptian diplomats on “Facing the Media”, from 23-26 December 2018.    The training aimed to enhance the skills of 33 mid-career Egyptian diplomats on effectively facing the media when conducting TV interviews and press conferences. CCCPA’s Advanced Training on Preventing Radicalization and Extremism Leading to Terrorism in Africa
Cairo, Egypt – Religious leaders play a critical role in preventing radicalization and extremism leading to terrorism. In this regard, CCCPA--in cooperation with the Egyptian Agency of Partnership for Development (EAPD)--concluded its first advanced training for religious leaders on Preventing Radicalization and Extremism Leading to Terrorism (PRELT) in Africa. MINUSCA Pre-Deployment Training
Cairo, Egypt - CCCPA organized a pre-deployment training (PDT), for Egyptian military peacekeepers who will be joining the United Nations Multidimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission in the Central African Republic (MINUSCA). 600 military peacekeepers attended the training from 4-14 November 2018. To date, Egypt’s total contribution to MINUSCA is 1,166 peacekeepers.   The training starts with a conflict analysis of the situation in the Central African Republic and MINUSCA’s mandate.
